Biography

Mortum Hatred is a melodic death/folk metal-band formed by

Ted Sjulmark (lead guitar), John Egnell (rhythm guitar),

Jesper Thorin (bass and vocals) and Henry Persson (drums). The

lyrics of their songs are mostly based on medieval themes and

various mythologies.

Ted and Henry was in the band from the beginning, and were

looking for a rhythm guitarist and a new singer. Bass player

Måns Lundberg was also in the band at that time.

John got in the band simply because Ted asked him if he wanted

to join. He already knew that John was a good guitarist.

Not so long after John had joined, Jesper got in the band.

They were playing a song that Jesper knew, and he grabbed

the microphone and sang it. Later, Ted asked him if he wanted

to join.

Now they had a full band. Things went well for a while, until

Jesper and Måns got angry with each other. Måns quit the band,

and Jesper took over the bass. Then Ted and Henry also discovered

that he was a great bass player. Nothing was lost even if Måns quit.

After some time Jesper also quit, but they found another bass player,

Niklas Ekwall.

Later on, Alex Kalo joined the crew as the new rhythm guitarist and John went over to just singing.

Alex jumped off, not so long after he had joined. As replacement, they

brought in Christoffer Holmgren. He also quit pretty fast. Then, they came up with the idea of taking in their friend Filip Holstad

on bass and let Niklas switch to playing guitar. After some time Filip also quit. John took over the bass until they would find a new bass player.

Pretty soon they asked their friend Aleksandar Novakovic if he wanted to join the crew, which he was very happy to do, and John became permanent bass player.

The band continued, and things are going very well right now.
